How Much Do I Need?
Calculating quantities can never be an exact science as one persons light scattering will be different from the next but here is our best estimate on petal quantities:
Quantities
2 litres of petals is 7 to 8 good handfuls of petals.
Quantities are the same for preserved, freeze dried or dried petals.
Confetti Cones
1 litre of petals will fill 8 to 10 standard sized cones
2 litres will fill 16 to 20 cones
Aisles
For a light scattering of petals down a church aisle you will need 1 litre for every metre.
Petal Path
Based on a path 1 metre wide you will need:
Light scattering – 1 litre
Medium scattering – 2 litres
Veritable carpet – 3 litres
Tables
On 5 ft diameter round tables 1 litre of petals will give you:
a light scattering (one handful) on 4 tables,
a medium scattering on 3 tables
a generous density 2 on tables.
